They went on forever and were forever incomplete, far from perfect, refined, or smooth, full of terrible memories of failure and fears of failure, yet, in the way of things, somehow noble, complete, and shining in the end.
“
But why think about that when all the golden lands ahead of you and all kinds of unforseen events wait lurking to surprise you and make you glad you’re alive to see?

It’s been a hell of a day I spent fading away but we all fade sometimes I believe…

“The lines represent life and the things around you, but like an asterisk, everything intersects with each other at some point, not only connecting everyone with everything around us, but also a unity with the universe”
“…this idea that everything passes through some central location. I love the asterisk in that sense, that it’s like the lines are reaching out everywhere, but they all pass through, you know, one nucleus. And that’s kind of where it all came from.”

*My first tattoo- a dark purple eight pointed asterisk surrounded by a blacklight responsive blue crescent moon*
You know, frankly, it’s like I sort of realized something about life in the past six or eight months — that taking things a day at a time is a blessing and it’s an honor and it’s something that makes the day that you’re living a lot more valuable

New love is easy art. In the stirring of discovery poetry grows from seed to sunlight in short blistering days. In the light of the unknown the mystery of another makes anything seem possible. In love we are reborn in a frenzied blaze of hyper existence. In the dissolution of love we are blown to pieces. Some pieces we collect in the fallout of moving on and others we leave behind; thumb tacks on the great maps of our personal histories, showing us all the places that we have been.

yea I gave it to him and he hasn’t taken it off since The Chance!
It’s one of those afternoons. The kind that bleed from the dawn, from the midnight, from the sunset of the day before. Now, steeped in the simplicity of disconnect, I watch the window washers, the crane operators and cab drivers. The pink, perfect blossoms hang from branches of trees whose names I never took the time to learn. I wait for angels, but settle for coffee with cream and sugar instead. Anything to change a pulse.
